This class will begin on Wednesday June 12th at 6pm CST 7pm EST. We will meet once a week on Wednesdays for about an hour, although post-class discussions are welcomed and encouraged. We will not be having class on the 19th because the instructor will be out of town.
We will both learn practical tools for producing online educational content and reflect upon what it means to create content in the modern era and what its uses can be for political organizing and class struggle. The class will feature some short readings on the concept of profilicity and profile building, and what it means for the war of positions, which is a Gramscian concept referring to the battle of ideas that is always being waged in the public consciousness. The bulk of the class will focus on providing you with real and practical tools to use in creating your own educational political content online.

Eddie Liger is a Marxist geopolitical analyst and co-director of the Midwestern Marx Institute for Marxist Theory and Political Analysis. He has been producing educational Tik Tok and Youtube content for four years, building three seperate tik tok accounts to over 200,000 followers, with one reaching 375,000 before a massive Tik Tok ban campaign terminated it along with over 300,000 accounts. Eddie has his bachelors in politics and has spent the last four years studying Marxism, history, and geopolitics while producing educational content about the subjects he researches.
